How we verify providers
Verification here means a specific, limited set of checks. We would rather describe it plainly than let the badge imply more than it is.
What we check
The business exists and is reachable
We confirm the company name, a working phone number or email, and a website or public business record that matches.
The service area is real
Coverage is recorded from what the provider states about their own delivery radius, counties and ZIP codes — not assumed from a city name.
The capabilities are self-declared and labelled as such
Sizes, fuel types, phase, delivery, setup, fuel service and emergency availability come from the provider. We record them; we do not audit their fleet.
The listing is dated
Every profile shows a last-verified date. An old date means exactly that: the details were accurate when checked and may have changed since.
Re-checking and removal
Listings are re-checked periodically and whenever a provider updates their profile or a reader reports a problem. A listing can be unpublished if contact details stop working, if declared coverage or capability turns out to be inaccurate, or if we receive credible reports of misrepresentation.
Ratings and reviews
We do not publish star ratings or review counts, and we do not mark up aggregate ratings anywhere on this site. When a verified review process exists, we will describe how it works before any rating appears.
