Applications

Uses and industries

The same kW figure means different things on a job site, in a venue and in a driveway. Start from the application.

Pick your situation

Construction & jobsites

Job-site power is a scheduling problem as much as an electrical one. The unit has to arrive, fit, connect and keep running while trades come and go.

Typical sizes: 20-60 kW for small crews, 60-150 kW once HVAC, cranes or pumps are involved

Events & production

Event power is judged by what the audience does not notice. Noise, flicker and a dropped feed are the failures people remember.

Typical sizes: 5-25 kW for small events, 60-150 kW for festival sites with vendor rows and staging

Emergency & outage backup

Outage rentals are different in one way that matters: everyone in the affected area wants the same equipment on the same afternoon.

Typical sizes: 5-12 kW for essential home circuits, 20-60 kW for whole-home or small business continuity

Commercial & industrial

Facility power is planned work. The equipment matters less than the switchover sequence, the documentation and who is accountable for each step.

Typical sizes: 150-500 kW for building standby, 500 kW and above containerised for plant or campus loads

RV & recreation

RV power comes down to one appliance. If the air conditioner has to run, everything else about the choice follows from that.

Typical sizes: 2-4 kW without air conditioning, 3.5-7 kW to start a rooftop air conditioner
