Typical sizes: 150-500 kW for building standby, 500 kW and above containerised for plant or campus loads
Commercial and industrial generator rental
Facility power is planned work. The equipment matters less than the switchover sequence, the documentation and who is accountable for each step.
Planned shutdowns and switchover
Write the sequence before you book: what de-energises, in what order, who operates each device, and how you get back. Most incidents happen during the transition, not the run.
Where downtime is unacceptable, closed-transition or paralleled arrangements exist but need engineering input well ahead of the date.
Load banks and testing
Load-bank testing proves the unit and the connection under real load before you depend on them. On critical facilities this is routine and worth the extra day.
It also avoids long-run problems on lightly loaded diesel engines.
Documentation, insurance and access
Commercial rentals normally involve certificates of insurance, site inductions, permits to work and sometimes environmental containment. Ask for the requirement list early; it drives the lead time more than equipment availability does.
Confirm service response times and after-hours coverage in the contract, not in conversation.
Before you book
- Single-line diagram and switchover sequence
- Voltage, phase and connection arrangement
- Load-bank testing requirement
- Certificates of insurance and site permits
- Fuel service and spill containment
