Provider standards and complaints

How companies get listed, what our checks cover, how paid placement is labeled, and what to do when something on this site is wrong.

Listing requirements

Every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live. Nothing publishes automatically, and a company cannot publish, verify or promote its own listing from the provider portal.

  • • A real, contactable business that rents or supplies generators.
  • • Working phone number and a service area the company actually covers.
  • • Accurate equipment classes, fuels, voltage and phase capability.
  • • No copied descriptions, invented reviews or misleading availability claims.

What verification means

Scope of the verification check
We checkWe do not check
Business identity and contact detailsQuality of any individual job
Stated service area is plausible and confirmed by the companyWhether a crew will arrive on time
Insurance and certification notes supplied by the companyThat insurance stays valid after the check
Equipment classes the company says it rentsLive inventory or availability

How results are ordered

Sponsored placements are bought and are always labeled “Sponsored placement” where they appear. Everything below them is ordered organically, and payment plays no part in that ordering. The organic signals we use are:

  • • How closely the company’s base location matches the page.
  • • Whether the company has declared that service area and radius.
  • • Capability match: delivery, setup, fuel service, distribution, emergency availability.
  • • Profile completeness — the checklist providers see in their own portal.
  • • Verification status and how recently the details were confirmed.

Complaints and corrections

  1. 1. Tell us what is wrong using the report a listing form. Include the page and what should change.
  2. 2. We acknowledge reports and aim to review them within five business days.
  3. 3. Factual errors are corrected or the listing is unpublished while we check.
  4. 4. The company can respond and supply evidence before a listing is removed permanently.
  5. 5. Business owners can claim their listing to manage details directly.

We are a matching and education platform, not the rental company. Disputes about an actual rental — equipment, billing, damage or service — must be raised with the company you hired. We will pass on complaints and can remove a listing that repeatedly misleads people.
