Availability during a regional outage

After a storm, regional fleets are committed quickly and priority normally goes to existing contract customers, hospitals and critical infrastructure. Being flexible on size, fuel type and pickup versus delivery is what actually gets you equipment.

We do not promise availability, because we do not control any fleet. What we can do is put your request in front of providers who cover your area at once instead of one at a time.

Connecting safely in a hurry

A transfer switch or interlock, installed by a licensed electrician, is what separates a safe temporary supply from a backfed utility line that can kill a line worker. There is no safe shortcut version of this step.

Run any engine outdoors, far from windows, doors and vents. Carbon monoxide poisoning kills people during outages every year, often in attached garages with the door open.

This platform is not an emergency service

If there is a downed line, a gas smell, a fire or any immediate risk to life, contact emergency services or your utility first. A rental request is not an emergency response.

For medical equipment that cannot lose power, contact your utility's medical priority programme and your equipment supplier as well as arranging a rental.
